The Association for Youth, Children and Natural Psychology is a New Jersey non-profit association and a 501 c(3) corporation providing information in the educational and psychology fields. It is rooted in public school education. It was started by a science teacher and doctor of educational leadership, both in Newark, NJ. The AYCNP is a member in good standing with the National Council of Nonprofits and Center For Non-Profits of NJ.

Jane Statlander-Slote Jane Statlander-Slote attended William Paterson University in New Jersey, where she earned her B.A. and M.A. in English and English Literature. She has a Ph.D. in American Literature and Studies from the University of New England, Australia. She also has an M.F.A. degree in Film Studies and Production. She is an accomplished poet, and has produced a work of autobiographical fiction, with the setting largely based in Newark, NJ, as well as essays and fictional works. In addition to her current book on Philip Roth, she has completed a documentary film on Philip Roth and is planning future documentaries on Jewish-Christian studies. She has taught Women's Studies, Comparative Literature, Poetry, American Literature, Jewish American literature, Composition and presently teaches Composition and World literature at Miami International University of Art & Design. She began teaching pre-school, elementary and high school and has been teaching on the university level for two decades.

Ann Olson, Ph.D. Dr. Olson has worked as a professor of psychology at several colleges in Central California, as well a counselor for the severely mentally ill, including those with schizophrenia. She is an experienced writer, author and accomplished poet. Illuminating Schizophrenia: Insight into the Uncommon Mind is her first book. Dr. Olson first experienced mental illness as an older teen which culminated in various diagnoses, including her current diagnosis of undifferentiated schizophrenia. She explores the topic from various angles providing deep insight through her studies and research, as well as through her personal experiences. Illuminating Schizophrenia: Insight into the Uncommon Mind is scheduled for release as a distributed eBook and POD paperback November 1, 2013.
